A FOODIE & INSTAGRAMMERS DREAM
If there were such a place as an Instagrammer’s heaven, The Collaroy Hotel would be it. Once home to the Surf Rock Hotel, this place is now a rebranded beach theme sensation in Sydney’s Northern Beaches. Perpetually busy (but understandably so) – I’m so glad I live a short walk away.
This restaurant has three areas, the first is a new attachment right on the beach called the Pelican Pavilion it’s mainly a breakfast/lunch area, next is the downstairs floor of the restaurant called the Beach Bar it has a bar of course and a few tables and booths facing the beach, and lastly the upstairs (my favourite part) of the restaurant which is more of a dining room and bar area with gorgeous beach views.
If your coming for breakfast, expect crowds – but really, having to wait for a table and queue to order your food is not all that bad with the shimmering ocean surrounding you. This past weekend I ordered the Full Collaroy and had a serious case of regrets after being so full.
As for the Instagrammers dream bit in the title- it truly is. The details of this place are stunning, from the colourful beachy furniture, to the brushed-brass light fittings, everything will catch your eye. Below is a picture of the Pelican Pavilion.
