STAYING AT: CAMBRIDGE HOTEL, SYDNEY.
My last hotel stay was nearly a year ago, and although the year went by super quick, I’m already telling myself I’m due for another vacation. Last year I was fortunate enough to stay at the Ao Nang Cliff Beach Resort in Krabi, Thailand, so when I got the opportunity to experience another two more properties from the Roam Resorts collection, I instantly said yes – after all, a ‘staycation’ is better than no vacation at all, am I right?
The first out of the two hotels my boyfriend and I got to stay at was the Cambridge Hotel. This hotel is ideally located in the heart of Surry Hills amidst many great restaurants and cafes, a short 10 min walk to Pitt Street Mall and only a $8.00 uber ride to the nightlife venues. We basically ate and shopped or the whole day – a day well spent if you ask me. Side note: If you’re a sweet tooth and love gelato, Riva Reno Gelato is a must! It’s located a street behind the hotel.
Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised that the hotel had an underground parking garage for guests and public, although it was very squished in there we were able to find a spot easily. Once we checked in, we headed to our room which was on the 12th floor. This suite had an incredible view of Sydney’s skyscrapers, especially at night when the city came to life. I wish I could take that view back home with me.
My suite itself was spacious – with a king size bed, comfy sofa, and desk space. It included a TV, mini fridge and coffee/tea appliances. The only noticeable missing touch which would have been warmly welcomed was a hotel robe, I’m a sucker for those. On the second floor, the hotel included a heated pool and hot tub (or as Australian’s call it a spa) unfortunately I was out in the city all day I didn’t get a chance to go for a dip – I guess this means ill just have to come back :).
Overall, the Cambridge Hotel is a great place to stay if you’re looking at spending a couple nights in the city. The location and view combined are and unbeatable match!
